Youth Program · Transitional Housing
For young adults aging out of foster care, Shared Paths provides a safe, stable home and the connections you need to build a life that's truly your own — on your terms, at your pace.
About the Program
Every year, thousands of young people age out of the foster care system with little more than a bag of belongings and nowhere to go. At Shared Paths, we believe that's not good enough — and we're doing something about it.
Our Youth Transitional Housing program provides a real home in a real neighborhood in Central Indiana or Central Florida. Not a shelter. Not a group facility. A home — with privacy, stability, and the space to figure out your next chapter.

What We Offer
A private bedroom in a real residential home — not a shelter or group facility. A place that is genuinely yours while you build your footing.
We believe in your ability to lead your own life. Our role is to provide the home and connect you to resources — not to manage or monitor you.
We link residents to local services for employment, education, healthcare, and life skills — so you have the tools to build the future you want.
What's Included
"Every young person who ages out of foster care deserves more than survival. They deserve a real chance — and a real home to come back to."

No. Shared Paths provides housing in real residential homes in real neighborhoods. You have your own private bedroom and share common spaces with a small number of other residents — it is a home, not a facility.
We treat our residents as the capable adults they are. There are no institutional curfews or supervision requirements. We ask for mutual respect for the home and other residents — that's it.
We connect residents to local resources for employment, education, healthcare, and life skills. We don't provide direct case management, but we work hard to make sure you know where to turn.
